How are films selected for screening at The Light Factory?

The Light Factory presents independent cinema in a non-commercial environment where the audience can expand their vision of film and video beyond the traditional theater. Similar to The Light Factory’s history and commitment to emerging artist photographers, the museum’s film department exists to support and offer screening opportunity to independent filmmakers.

We screen on a monthly basis, films that vary in size and scope, from the Annual Carolina Media Showcase that exhibits short films each spring, to documentaries, narratives, even experimental film from local, regional and national talent.

We are always looking for emerging talent in the indie film world.  If you want to submit your completed film for consideration, please send your completed film on DVD or CD-Rom to:

Director of Film, The Light Factory

345 N. College Street, Charlotte, NC 28202.

Please include any support materials and your contact information with your submission.

Forward questions to the Director of Film.
